The Southern Ridge church of Christ

The Southern Ridge church of Christ is a congregation of christians meeting in south Oklahoma City. The congregation was established in 1974 as the Northeast church of Christ in Moore, Oklahoma. It retained that name until May 3rd, 1999.

On May 3rd of that year a massive tornado struck the area and heavily damaged the congregation's building. Taking this as a blessing in disguise, the congregation decided they would move to a better location.

In February 2001, the current location at SW 134th was officially "open for business." The name Northeast was no longer descriptive and the congregation selected a new name, Southern Ridge.

The congregation is composed of Bible-loving, people-loving Christians. We strive to emulate the model church presented in the New Testament, using it and only it as our pattern for worship and for living. We encourage everyone to come visit us and hear the gospel of Christ taught in a simple, straightforward, and loving manner!
